 Bal Kalyan Samaj-Chitwan (Local NGO working for the welfare of the economically poor Nepalese students) disbursed the amount of scholarships to the selected poor students of Kabilas Secondary School, Jugedi, Chitwan. The students those received the scholarship are currently studying in grade VI. A total of seven economically poor students were recommended by the school for the scholarship. Each of the scholarships amounts NRs 1000.00 (approx. US $15) per annum. The disbursement of the amount of the scholarship was conducted amid a short formal programme at Kabilas Secondary School, Kabilas, Chitwan.

At the program, Mr. Badri Raman Sharma, president, Bal Kalyan Samaj-Chitwan, disbursed the amount of scholarship through the Assistant Headmaster of Kabilas Secondary School. Before the disbursement of the scholarships Mr. Sharma spoke about the mission of Bal Kalyan Samaj-Chitwan, he emphasized that the programs of Bal Kalyan Samaj-Chitwan are specially focused on economically poor and excluded students; the president added that the selected students will receive the scholarship each year until they pass SLC examination (Grade X). Mr. Sharma assured all the attendants of the program that the number of the scholarship recipients will be doubled at Kabilas Secondary School next year.

Similarly, Bal Kalyan Samaj-Chitwan handed over a small pack of books for the school library to the Assistant Headmaster Mr. Padam Bahadur Prasai, the books were received as book donation from International Book Project, Inc. USA by Bal Kalyan Samaj-Chitwan.
